How you find a person
Everybody who publishes here describes what they offer using the same list of words, and you search using those same words. That way a search means the same thing to both of you. You can hold it to one city, or to a distance from where you are standing. What comes back is a card carrying the words that person chose for themselves. Open it and you reach their own page, written by them, with their own prices and their own way of being asked.
Nobody can find you until you ask
A new account is in no search and on no map. It stays that way until you turn being findable on, and you can turn it off again in a moment. Being here is not the same as being listed. You can read the whole site, take the test and keep an account for as long as you like without one other person knowing you exist. What you show is a decision you make over and over, not once at the start.
Events, venues and the people who run them
This is not only people meeting people. Clubs, dungeons, munches and play parties are listed by the people who run them, with the date, the place and the rules of the room written down before you go. A venue keeps its own page the same way a person does. If you are the one hosting, you decide who can see the listing and who is allowed to ask for a place in it.
What it costs to be here
Nothing, today. An account is free, searching is free and writing to somebody is free. Keys are the unit we count inside the site, and every price in Keys is zero right now. If a price ever changes you will see it before you agree to it, never after. Anything that helps a person stay safe stays free whatever else happens to the rest.
We never touch the money
Whoever you book publishes their own payment link and is paid by you directly. We never hold it, never take a cut and never move it, which keeps the arrangement between the two of you. It also means we cannot give anybody a refund, and we cannot settle an argument about a payment we never saw. If money goes wrong here, it is between you and the person you paid.
All of it, in twenty one languages
Every word on this site and in the app exists in twenty one languages, and each one is written while that part is being built rather than added at the end. A word with no translation yet is hidden instead of shown to you in English. So you never meet a page that is half in a language you do not read, and this is not an English site with translations bolted to the side.
A badge names one checked fact
Some things about some people are checked by a person here, and a badge records the one fact that was checked and the day it was checked. That is the whole of what it means. It is never us saying that somebody is safe, honest or good company. A person wearing every badge can still be somebody you would rather not meet, and a person wearing none may be fine. Read what the badge covers, then decide for yourself.
