How each part works

Each part below says what should happen, in the order it happens. Then it says what to do when it does not. If you are stuck on something not listed here, the error message itself carries a reference code, and the last part explains why that code is the useful thing to send us.

Adults, 21 or over

Everybody here is 21 or over and said so before coming in.

Private by default

A new account is in no search and on no map.

You pay directly

Money you pay a provider directly never passes through us.

The order it happens in

Six things, in this order. You answer the age question once, before you see the site. On the join screen you pass a quick safety check. You give an email address and choose a password, typed twice, of at least ten characters with a small letter, a capital letter and a digit. You tick two boxes: one confirming you are 21 or over, and one agreeing to the terms and to how your information is handled. You press the button and a link arrives by email, which proves the address is yours. Then the app offers to make a passkey so that next time is one step, and you can say no and keep using your password for as long as you like. At the end of that you have an account and nothing about you is public.

When the code does not arrive

Check your spam or junk folder first, because codes land there more often than anywhere else. A code works once and only for a few minutes. If you ask for a new one, the old one stops working immediately, so always use the newest message and ignore the earlier ones. If nothing has arrived after a few minutes, ask again rather than waiting: it is the same code path and asking twice costs nothing.

If you deleted your passkey somewhere else

Your passkey is kept by your device or your password manager, not by us. If you delete it there, we have no way of knowing, so the next sign in fails and it looks like the site has forgotten you. It has not. Sign in with your email address and your password instead, then make a new passkey inside the app. The old one is gone for good and nothing can be recovered from it, which is the point of it.

Signing in on a new phone or computer

Sign in with your email address and your password, because a passkey lives on the device that made it and the new one does not have it yet. The code we send arrives by email as the second step, the same as on any other device. Once you are in, make a passkey there as well if you want one. Having a passkey on two devices is normal and neither one weakens the other. Your old device keeps working, and you can see and remove your devices from inside the app.

Why you were asked your age

This site shows adult content, so we have to ask before you come in. We ask once, on your first visit, and your answer is kept on that device only. It does not record who you are and it is not connected to your email or your account. If you clear your browser data, or open the site in a private window, we have nothing to read and we ask again.

The reference code on an error

When something goes wrong, the message carries a short reference code. Write it down or photograph it. Sent to us, it lets us find that exact event out of everything that happened that day, which turns an unrepeatable fault into something we can actually read. The code holds nothing about you: no email, no account, nothing that identifies you. Without it, something that went wrong once is very hard to find again.

Who runs KinkEU?

KinkEU is overseen by an automatic, secure system, with the help of its own members. No company, country or person runs it for profit, and no person, company or organisation controls the members' critical data or the project's wallet. The system chooses some members at random to watch over it.

Does anyone profit from KinkEU?

Nobody, except providers, from their own services. None of the people who made KinkEU earn anything from it: the makers take no profit, salary or income. No business, country or person receives an income from KinkEU, and KinkEU does not operate through any company or business bank account.

Where does KinkEU's income go?

KinkEU's own income is spent automatically, in digital currency, on the project itself. No person, company or organisation controls the project's wallet.

Is there a hidden interest behind KinkEU?

No. There is no hidden interest behind KinkEU, for any place, company, country or person. KinkEU is a project for freedom of expression in the fetish and BDSM world. It brings all the tools of that world together in one place.

Is KinkEU a dating app?

Not an ordinary one. KinkEU is a different world, filtered, for real connection with real people from the BDSM and fetish community.

Who helps watch over KinkEU?

The system chooses some members at random to help watch over it, with no politics behind the choice. They get no direct benefit from that, unless they offer their own services or products as providers, like any member.

Are the people in the pictures real members?

No. The pictures on KinkEU's own public pages are generated on purpose and show nobody real. We never put a real member's photo on these pages, to protect members' privacy. A member's own page shows only what that member chose to publish.

Anybody may leave

You can end anything you agreed to here, alone and without a reason.

Who leads here

A female led world that every member chooses: women, trans women and non binary people lead.

Listed by the people who run them, with the rules written down.
